Selway Outlet Center was designed as an "A type" serving facility in the Balcova neighborhood of Izmir, close to the Cesme-Aydin freeway. The design was conceptualized by considering how trading was done through social interaction on Izmir's streets in the past. Therefore, rather than a traditional enclosed mall, the streets and squares have been modernized with expansive sidewalks, creating an open-air shopping experience that is well-suited to Izmir's climate.

The block is easily accessible by car, making it convenient to park in front of the establishments. In addition to that, there is ample amount of car parking in close proximity. Cafes, restaurants, and stores are distributed throughout various building volumes. In the center enclosed by blocks is a water feature, which serves as a gathering place. With the opening of the freeway in 2006, its clientele increased over time, and Selway Outlet Center eventually became one of Izmir's most well-known shopping centers. While meeting their needs, it also serves as a popular rest stop for drivers on the Cesme-Aydin route.

As it is one of the first projects of BRN Architects in the company's history, Selway Outlet Center has great importance and impact for BRN Architects. As BRN, we are proud that this project resulted with a success beyond expectations and high customer satisfaction, and has become a traditional shopping center which is still open to the visitors today.
