Afacan Park Softplay Area

Games are vital for children’s health and growth, enhancing social skills, self-confidence, and language development. Playgrounds foster creativity, simulate real-life experiences, and improve situational awareness, perception, and motor skills. Direct access between indoor and outdoor spaces enriches the learning environment, allowing for unrestricted movement and exploration.

In designing the Afacan Park Softplay Area, we created a natural, immersive 'jungle' environment that stimulates creativity with vibrant tropical colors and nature-inspired patterns. Every child who enters the store enters a dreamlike world step by step in curiosity, guided by geometric ceilings and floor coverings to finally arrive at the Softplay Area. This design encourages light-risk exploration and play while ensuring safety with secure materials. Feedback from children through 3D visualizations helped refine the design to enhance their experience. The lighting, chosen based on a study of energy use and light pollution, avoids straining eyes and mimics natural daylight.

A dedicated café with Tropical Banyan Trees and an integrated bar offers a jungle-like atmosphere, allowing children to socialize while families enjoy a comfortable seating area designed with calming colors and natural wood flooring for relaxation, also featuring optimal viewing angles to have an eye on their children. Overall, the project aims to use resources efficiently while promoting social, emotional, and physical well-being.
