With its central location at one of the most deep-rooted neighbourhoods of Istanbul, Brew Patisserie overlooks Karaköy Dock, a vital location where thousands of people cross every day to enjoy the wonderful view of the Bosporus and the Golden Horn.
Our design concept for the patisserie blends traditional Turkish interior architecture with contemporary elements. With our philosophy which emphasizes seamless integration of form and function, we achieved elegance through artistic elements and materials. Moreover, we aimed to create a balance and a dynamic transition between the chaotic and lively surroundings outside and the serene atmosphere inside. By combining natural materials such as marble, terrazzo, wood, and polished golden metals in a balanced arrangement, we emphasized the new and the old across the narrow plan of the building.
The long and narrow plan of the patisserie gave a chance for us to define different zones and give each of them a different function/identity. While the front entrance is more dynamic and inviting, featuring a bustling counter bar showcasing a wide array of products and expansive shelves along with the appealing turquoise seats, the zone at the back offers a tranquil setting with cozy seating nestled under neat arches and the textured wallpaper for those who seek relaxation.
We aimed to create a unique design identity where all the elements, such as dark-toned wood, original turquoise blue, and accents of golden metal, come together and bring soul into the space.
