Chocolate By Four Seasons Hotels Bosphorus was designed to meet a specific aesthetic and functional requirements. The client asked to create a space that would represent high quality boutique chocolates created by the Four Seasons’ mastery. The result is a spectacular jewelry shop inspired design with glass island showcases combined with premium touch of lacquered wood and special designed wooden cooler units.

Chocolate By Four Seasons Hotels Bosphorus is a design synthesis of the East and the West which references the western tastes of chocolate meld with the oriental flavors of the Spice Bazaar, served in this shop as well as its awesome Bosphorus location. The design of this chocolate shop draws inspiration from the rich artistic and cultural heritage of Istanbul while, in equal measure, reflecting the lifestyles and expectations of international hotel guests today.

The project includes two different parts. One part is the Shop Area which is located at the ground floor of the Four Seasons Bosphorus Hotel near by the famous jewelry brands’ shops. It has an island showcase in the middle of the shop with perpendicular displays located at the edges. Also, a welcome desk is located in-front of the entrance behind the island showcase. A special design artistic wall lies on the opposite edge of the perpendicular displays, exhibiting a painting by Ismail Acar that represents Istanbul Life.

Second Part includes three separate spaces, which are all located in the basement floor. Gourmet Shop sells the pre-packaged chocolates to the retail customers of the hotel. The facade of the Gourmet Shop was designed with brass framed transparent glass to show the multi-stored shelves. The workshop atelier and the gourmet shop are both separated with a red glass wall to express the feeling of the desire for chocolate. In the workshop atelier, two island showcases welcome guests and behind them there is an art wall designed with the combination of different textured hexagons, inspired by the geometry of Madlen chocolates.

The right side of the atelier is the tasting area which is surrounded by semi-classical wooden displays. An Ottoman “talisman war caftan (robe)” painting is placed in the middle of these displays. On the left side of the geometric wall, there is a kitchen area to produce the chocolate. Five bar chairs are located in front of the kitchen area with a separation of 110 cm desk to allow chocolate cooking lessons for the workshop groups.
